There is a $250 deposit that is non-refundable! 

Prices are NON NEGOTIABLE!

I know longer have waiting list on puppies. Unless you place a non-refundable $250 deposit.

So please make sure you want to place your deposit, as they will not be returned!!

It will be your responsibility from now on to watch my web site.

Visits to my kennel are now only if you have a deposit. Visits are when your puppies are around 5 weeks of age. To your litter only, and by Appointment only. You meet the parents at this time as well. I do not have open hours for visits any longer. This is by the advice of my Veterinarian.

 

Puppies are a wonderful experience. They are cute and cuddly. But they also jump,

scratch, and nip/play bite. Until trained not to.

They also grow up to be dogs, and kids aren't as excited by them after first few weeks.

They need to be feed, exercised, loved, have shots, worming, be spay/neutered flea/tick meds.

Heart worm prventive. unexpected vet visits. They cost money.

This puppy will be with you for a long time. Hopefully 12-18 years.  

So do not take putting down a deposit lightly. You will lose $250 if you change your mind.  

These deposits go to the total cost of puppy, and are non-refundable.

 

I will take a check or Paypal for the deposit. Cash preferred at pick up. Paypal is excepted as well.  

I do not allow visits until the puppies are almost five weeks of age. 

And this is only if you have a deposit. This is for the health of your puppy.

They will receive a parvo shot at four weeks of age.

I always have the first pick of any litter. These will be used in Guardian homes.

I will also pick services/therapy puppies first as they require a special type of puppy.

 

If you would like for me to pick a puppy based on my experience with these breeds, I will pray and ask God which puppy should go with which family. These puppies will from now on be picked first as well. Before everyone comes to pick their puppies.

 

Puppies are allowed to leave my home after their Vet check, at almost eight weeks of age.

I will keep your puppy until they have reached eight weeks of age for no extra cost, but then there will be a $15 a day charge for boarding. Any extra shots given while in my care will be $15 any extra worming will be $5.

 

If at any time you cannot keep the puppy you have purchased from me,

I will take any of my puppies back, (no money involved). Please let me know so I can find them a new home.  

I now have a spay and neuter contract. Which is a binding contract. This must be signed before you take your puppy home.

You must have your puppy spay or neutered by age six to nine months depending on what your vet says.

You must provide proof of spay or neuter by a licensed vet. If you do not provide this proof of spay or neuter I have the right to come and confiscate the puppy. Plus you will be held responsible for all charges from legal fees for breaking your contract. If you are wanting the puppy for something other than a new family member, PLEAS LOOK ELSE WHERE!!!.

 

I will do my best to make sure you receive the puppy of your choice. But because of order and because not everyone can come see the puppies before their pick up date, I have the final say of what puppy goes to which home. This means that if you have the first deposit placed, you may not always get the first pick of the litter. Unless you come visit the puppies at their earliest age possible to pick your puppy. I can no longer hold the position of your deposit for you. This is way to hard on me as a breeder. I am sorry for this change.

We breed for Personality and Health. (If your puppy is registered), we breed for AKC Confirmation.


Buyer has 10 days to have the puppy checked by a licensed Veterinarian. If you’re Veterinarian finds any life threatening health problems you may return for a refund minus the $250 non-refundable deposit. You must present a WRITTEN STATEMENT from your Veterinarian explaining the defect of the puppy. Seller has the right to have a Veterinarian of their choice exam the puppy for a second opinion. If within one year of the birth date of the puppy your Veterinarian confirms a hereditary defect rendering this dog unsuitable as a pet, a replacement puppy of equal value will be given as soon as one is available. A written statement from your Veterinarian is required at this time also. As well as the seller has the right to have a second opinion by the Veterinarian of their choice. Seller is not responsible for any of the Veterinarian exams. ANY acquired cost for treatment, for this puppy is the sole responsibility of the buyer.


Seller offers no guarantee against any allergic reaction of any type that the owner or his family may have, or parasites, such as fleas, mites, ticks, or internal parasites of any kind including but not limited to protozoan, worms, ex… Seller offers no guarantee against viral illness, or infections of any kind, including parvo, corona, ex…                                      


Buyer has personally checked this puppy thoroughly and accepts it as is. I, the undersigned buyer understand and agree to the above terms and conditions of sale and accept full responsibility for the health, well being and expense of this animal.


This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state of Virginia to the exclusion of any other forum and constitutes the entire agreement between the parties.

New Owners Agree to:


New owners must take their new puppies to their veterinarian within 10 days of receiving their puppy for examination, testing for worms, treatment for worms it necessary, and schedule ongoing immunizations. Failure to have puppy examined by vet within 10 days of date puppy was received by buyer or if purchaser fails to provide required immunizations or deworming’s, their health guarantee will be void. If purchaser’s veterinarian finds the puppy to be in poor health, the veterinarians written description of the problems must  be provided, dated within 10 days of date of purchaser received their puppy. If issue is of genetic defect, which enables puppy appropriate as a pet, purchaser will be refunded price of puppy (minus the  $250 deposit) or given a replacement puppy (as soon as one is available). Unhealthy puppy must be returned to receive refund or new puppy. NO EXCEPTIONS Cost of exams and tests are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

New owners agree to keep their puppy away from other UN-immunized dogs, public places, parks, and will use care in allowing others from outside their home to pet or touch the puppy.  This is to protect puppy from exposure to parvovirus and other infectious illnesses. New owners will not enroll the puppy in obedience training classes until after ALL immunizations are complete.

Purchaser agrees to spay or neuter the puppy at the age recommended by their vet, prior to the puppy’s reaching sexual maturity. Purchaser agrees that puppy Will Not be used for Breeding. Buyer agrees to send proof of spay or neutering to the sellers.

If proof of spay or neuter of puppy is not provided, you may face a lawsuit. Which purchaser agrees to pay all court cost and lawyer fees.

Temperament: Buyer understands that puppies nip, chew, bark, and jump up. Buyer agrees to train the puppy to correct these  behaviors and to be responsible for the puppy’s ongoing socialization and behavioral training. Buyers  that are inexperienced with raising puppies, and families with children under 6 years of age agree to seek professional help from a certified, in-home trainer within 2 months of the puppy’s arrival into the home. All buyers agree to consult with a professional trainer should there be continued negative behaviors. Seller does not guarantee the temperament of puppy.


Sellers and purchasers agree to abide by the terms of this agreement. Health guarantee is made part of the signed document.


How Could You?

When I was a puppy, I entertained you with my antics and made you laugh. You called me your child, and despite a number of chewed shoes and a couple of murdered throw pillows, I became your best friend.

Whenever I was "bad," you'd shake your finger at me and ask "How could you?" -- but then you'd relent and roll me over for a belly rub.

My housebreaking took a little longer than expected, because you were terribly busy, but we worked on that together. I remember those nights of nuzzling you in bed and listening to your confidences and secret dreams, and I believed that life could not be any more perfect.

We went for long walks and runs in the park, car rides, stops for ice cream (I only got the cone because "ice cream is bad for dogs" you said), and I took long naps in the sun waiting for you to come home at the end of the day.

Gradually, you began spending more time at work and on your career, and more time searching for a human mate. I waited for you patiently, comforted you through heartbreaks and disappointments, never chided you about bad decisions, and romped with glee at your homecomings, and when you fell in love.

She, now your wife, is not a "dog person" -- still I welcomed her into our home, tried to show her affection, and obeyed her. I was happy because you were happy.

Then the human babies came along and I shared your excitement. I was fascinated by their pinkness, how they smelled, and I wanted to mother them, too. Only she and you worried that I might hurt them, and I spent most of my time banished to another room, or to a dog crate. Oh, how I wanted to love them, but I became a prisoner of love."

As they began to grow, I became their friend. They clung to my fur and pulled themselves up on wobbly legs, poked fingers in my eyes, investigated my ears, and gave me kisses on my nose. I loved everything about them and their touch -- because your touch was now so infrequent -- and I would've defended them with my life if need be. I would sneak into their beds and listen to their worries and secret dreams, and together we waited for the sound of your car in the driveway.

There had been a time, when others asked you if you had a dog, that you produced a photo of me from your wallet and told them stories about me. These past few years, you just answered "yes" and changed the subject. I had gone from being "your dog" to "just a dog," and you resented every expenditure on my behalf.

Now, you have a new career opportunity in another city, and you and they will be moving to an apartment that does not allow pets. You've made the right decision for your "family," but there was a time when I was your only family.

I was excited about the car ride until we arrived at the animal shelter. It smelled of dogs and cats, of fear, of hopelessness. You filled out the paperwork and said "I know you will find a good home for her." They shrugged and gave you a pained look. They understand the realities facing a middle-aged dog, even one with "papers."

You had to pry your son's fingers loose from my collar as he screamed, "No, Daddy! Please don't let them take my dog!" And I worried for him, and what lessons you had just taught him about friendship and loyalty, about love and responsibility, and about respect for all life.

You gave me a good-bye pat on the head, avoided my eyes, and politely refused to take my collar and leash with you. You had a deadline to meet and now I have one, too. After you left, the two nice ladies said you probably knew about your upcoming move months ago and made no attempt to find me another good home. They shook their heads and asked "How could you?"

They are as attentive to us here in the shelter as their busy schedules allow. They feed us, of course, but I lost my appetite days ago.

At first, whenever anyone passed my pen, I rushed to the front, hoping it was you that you had changed your mind -- that this was all a bad dream... Or I hoped it would at least be someone who cared, anyone who might save me.

When I realized I could not compete with the frolicking for attention of happy puppies, oblivious to their own fate, I retreated to a far corner and waited. I heard her footsteps as she came for me at the end of the day, and I padded along the aisle after her to a separate room. A blissfully quiet room.

She placed me on the table and rubbed my ears, and told me not to worry. My heart pounded in anticipation of what was to come, but there was also a sense of relief. The prisoner of love had run out of days.

As is my nature, I was more concerned about her. The burden which she bears weighs heavily on her, and I know that, the same way I knew your every mood. She gently placed a tourniquet around my foreleg as a tear ran down her cheek. I licked her hand in the same way I used to comfort you so many years ago.

She expertly slid the hypodermic needle into my vein. As I felt the sting and the cool liquid coursing through my body, I lay down sleepily, looked into her kind eyes and murmured "How could you?"

Perhaps because she understood my dog speak, she said "I'm so sorry." She hugged me, and hurriedly explained it was her job to make sure I went to a better place, where I wouldn't be ignored or abused or abandoned, or have to fend for myself --a place of love and light so very different from this earthly place.

And with my last bit of energy, I tried to convey to her with a thump of my tail that my "How could you?" was not directed at her. It was directed at you, My Beloved Master, I was thinking of you. I will think of you and wait for you forever. May everyone in your life continue to show you so much loyalty.
